I don’t know what’s going on but my appetite has been null these past few days. I’ve been feeling kind of off, so I’ve been trying to take it easy. I hate this time of the year—sick time. It seems as if as soon as school starts, all these gross germs and viruses start being spread around like freaking wild fire and no amount of anti-bacterial wipes and hand-washing can help.
I’m in need of some new germ fighting tricks. Got any?
This will sound totally gross, but do you irrigate your sinuses? It can do wonders for preventing head colds and sinus infections.
ReplyDeleteIf I am feeling a nasty cold coming on - I will make a mixture of asprin, lemon juice, honey and a splash of hot water. Drink it down quick. Put on some layers and jump into bed. I find that I sweat out the fever and I am much better by the next day.
ReplyDeleteI agree with DC above. Get a neti pot if you don't have one. It's a cheap and simple way to stay healthy. Also I just read something about boosting your immunity by alternating hot and cold bursts at the end of your shower. Can't hurt! : )
